    Day 3: Florence

Private Full Day Chianti Tour + Wine Tasting & Dinner - 8 hrs

The Region of Tuscany is famous all over the World not only for art, but also for nature, small villages, vineyards and gentle hills. You will be enchanted by the colors, perfumes and stunning views of the Chiantigiana countryside. Meet your private English speaking driving escort at your hotel and begin a fabulous day in the Tuscan countryside. We will visit one of the family run Farms in Greve where the owners will be proud to show you around their property and their vineyards whilst telling you about the way they produce their wines and olive oil in a traditional unsophisticated way. After the visit you will be offered a tasting of 5 of their wines accompanied by cold cuts and tuscan bread. Continue to San Gimignano and stop at an organic farm in the hearth of the countryside. Here you will be served a typical Tuscan dinner (possibility to have a gourmet dinner based on Truffle or Saffron), during which you will taste minimum 4 of their wines and extra-vergin natural and flavoured olive oil. Return to Florence.

    Day 4: Florence - Bologna

After breakfast, meet our driver for your private transfer to the city of Bologna. After checking in to the hotel, meet your private guide and stroll around discovering why it was given various nicknames: the red one, the learned one and the fat one. This tour is a combination of art and eno-gastronomic traditions.

During the walking tour you will see some of the most important buildings. You will visit Piazza Maggiore, the city's main gathering place, opened in the 13th century with its famous statue of Neptune, the Basilica of San Petronio, the Medieval market, the Two Towers and the Archiginnasio, the first permanent seat of the University with the Anatomical Theatre. You will then make a stop at Majani's shop, a traditional chocolate maker where solid chocolate was invented. You will not miss the visit at Atti's shop, which is a must in Bologna, where you will hear the history of tortellini and tagliatelle. The tour will end at Tamburini's shop, where, while hearing the history of Mortadella, you will taste some delicious local produce such as Mortadella, Parmigiano Reggiano, salami, accompanied by local wine.

    Day 5: Bologna

Enjoy a walking tour through the central streets of the town, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco and famous for the red myth of Ferrari and its food excellencies. In fact, Modena is a must of any Italy foodies and this combination of walking and food tour is a great way to experience the best of one of Italy's top food destinations. During the tour, you will visit the famous historical Albinelli Market. Walking through the stalls you will taste some typical food and delicacies such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar, "tigelle", typical flatbreads filled cold cuts and paired with Lambrusco wine, as well as some typical desserts. The tour will continue with the visit of Enzo Ferrari Museum, founder of the iconic car and brand. Proceed to the Ferrari Museum for visit before returning to Bologna.

    Day 7: Turin

Piedmont's wine landscapes constitute an outstanding example of man's interaction with his natural environment. Following a long and slow evolution of winegrowing expertise, the best possible adaptation of grape varieties to land with specific soil and climatic components has been carried out, creating a unique combination enrolled in Unesco World Heritage since 2014. The scenery of the Langhe region is gorgeous, with rolling hills covered in vineyards, medieval hill towns and villages perched atop their peaks, but what really attracts visitors is that here, glorious pages of Italian wine history have been written. Meet your English-speaking driving escort at the hotel and head for San Martino Alfieri, a delightful village named after the Alfieri family, wine producers since 1600, whose mansion house still dominates the surroundings. A tasting of some of their most representative wines will be introduced by a visit to the Orangerie (winter garden) and cellar. After departure, stop in Alba, the capital of Langhe, for a stroll in the center, lined with delis selling all sort of traditional foods and, among them, the white truffle, to which the town is home. Then, head to Barbaresco, whose namesake red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes is amongst the most renowned of Italy. A short drive takes you from Barbaresco to Canelli, the birth place, in 1865, of the first Italian spumante, to visit one of the wineries underneath which are hidden some of the so-called Underground Cathedrals: a network of about 20km of cellars excavated in the tuff hill on which the city is built. Wine was not just aged in these corridors in the past, but the entire winemaking process was carried out here. The remains of this vinification can still be seen today, creating a tangible memory of the past and leading you to a more conscious degustation of sparkling wines. So, at the end of the day, you will certainly agree with Ernest Hemingway that 'wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world'.
